Cryonics Institute Case Report for Patient Number 204
CI patient #204 was a 90 year old female from Norway. The patient was a CI member at the time of her death.
The patient died on January 13th, 2021. The patient was frozen in dry ice, because a perfusion could not be arranged. The patient was kept in dry ice at a funeral home in Oslo, Norway until transportation arrangements could be made.
The patient was transported on dry ice to the CI facility on February 18th, 2021.
The patient was then transferred to the computer controlled cooling chamber to cool to liquid nitrogen temperature. The straight freeze program was selected and the time needed to cool the patient to liquid nitrogen temperature was 25 hours. The patient was then placed in a cryostat for long-term cryonic storage.
