CI patient #196 was a 91 year old female from Pennsylvania.  The patient was a CI member at the time of her death, but a recent member with no time to sign a contract and arrange for funding.

The patient died on September 28, 2020.  The patient was held on dry ice in a funeral home in Pennsylvania until funding and a contract could be arranged.  The patient was then transported to the CI facility on October 7, 2020.  The patient was cooled to liquid nitrogen temperature in the computer controlled cooling unit over the course of 25 hours and placed in a cryostat for long-term storage in liquid nitrogen.
