Case Reports from January 2022
The Cryonics Institutes 219th Patient
CI patient #219 was an 88 year old female from Connecticut. The patient was a CI member at the time of her death.
The patient died in a nursing home under hospice care at approximately 8 pm on January 15, 2022. The nursing home staff cooled the patient by applying ice packs and called the funeral home that was prepared to help. The funeral home removed the patient from the nursing home and took her to the funeral home where she was put in refrigeration and more ice was added. The next day arrangements were made to drive the patient to CI, but it took much longer than normal because of a snow storm.
