CI members tend to be better-educated than average, but come from many segments of society. We have members/patients in/from Australia, Austria, Canada, England, France, Germany, Norway, Singapore, and Sweden, as well as the U.S. We work with members at a distance--in the U.S. and abroad--to set up local emergency arrangements.

More coming. Members--we need some additional and better quality photos!
Patients of CI
Rhea Chaloff Ettinger is the mother of Robert C.W. Ettinger. She was the
Cryonics Institute's first patient, in 1977. The photo shows her at age 18,
in
1916. We hope one day to see her look like this again, and smile and greet
us.
Dr. Andrea Foote for many years was Contract Officer, and for a brief period, President of the Cryonics Institute, and is now one of our patients. She was a social psychologist at the University of Michigan.
Hugh Hart was a Phi Beta Kappa who taught mathematics for 16 years before becoming an investment counselor. He once told Robert & Mae Ettinger, "My enthusiasm grows every time I'm able to help the movement." In support of the cryonics movement Hugh left his entire estate to the Cryonics Institute when he was cryopreserved in 2002, with the exception of $10,000 given to a friend who served as Executor of the estate.
