MEMBERSHIP REPRESENTATIVE IN FLORIDA
CI has had a long standing policy, rarely used in the past, whereby an appropriate person (usually a funeral director or a reliable member of CI) may act as a recruiter and as a resource person to assist prospective members with paperwork and in other ways. Such a "representative" does not collect any money or authorize any changes in standard policy or make any commitments on behalf of CI, but may receive a fee or commission (maximum one-half of the membership fee, Option One) from CI for effectiveness in recruitment or in assisting prospective members, after the member has joined.
Sidney O. Maurer is a CI member living in Florida, retired after a career in the New York public schools. Any Floridian interested in cryonics and in membership in the Cryonics Institute may inquire of Mr. Maurer for personalized assistance or information. While CI headquarters staff are also always available, we have time limitations, and it is hoped that resource people such as Mr. Maurer can improve our outreach and make connections easier for prospective members, while keeping costs down.
