A few years ago, CI President Ben Best got a lot of criticism from a member who felt that he was not sufficiently addressing the problem of people wanting cryopreservation but could not afford it.

There is no easy answer to this problem, for CI to take one patient at a reduced charge would open the door to other requests. Every request granted would lessen CI’s financial standing, and increase it’s obligation.
