Dear Sir

After reading "What Happens To The Soul of A cryonics patient, in the

"The Cryonics Institute Offers the Possibility Of Future Life,Vol.37 The Immortalst, I have the following comments;

By written standards of major religions, all humans have a soul and by Hinduism so do animals , plants, and other objects. However the written term all religions use is Immortal Soul meaning one never dies. When your body dies your conscientious and senses remain and you are put into another reality by god ,a higher power or idea, for eternal reward or torture.

To the many cryonicists who believe in a soul, if your soul is immortal as religious writings state, why bother with cryonics? lf the soul is not immortal what is it? Yes many religious authorities believe embryos have a soul. An embryo is a another human being.

This has lead to a religious activity in this country and others of bombing abortion clinics and murdering doctors who do abortions, Medicine is not in conflict with religion ? All sciences including medicines have always been in conflict with the written words of religions! Today a good example is stem cell research, if you have not noticed!

Stem cells may have embryos making them the same as you and me! Even our President Bush leans that way!

Being a cryonicists because of my atheism, I do wish to hear the different views from Christians ,Muslims, Hindus, or any other religious cryonicists. Just having a hard time understanding why they are here.
