EDITOR’S CORNER

This issue marks a milestone of sorts. It's the first one to carry an advertisement. Lee Bolton Richards & Sons is a stamp and coin dealer located in Webster City, Iowa. Their ad is on page 23.

Also in this issue are the first tangible results of the "Mini Merger" agreement reached between American Cryonics Society (ACS) and The Cryonics Institute (CI.)

The front cover has ACS's URL prominently displayed under C1's. On the back cover, the URL's of both organizations are displayed on the lower left corner of the photo of the CI facility. Additionally, on the inside rear cover ACS is mentioned as co-publisher along with The Immortalist Society.

This issue is also carrying the Kurzweil.net newsletter for the first time. When we requested permission to run it, we received a pleasant note from Amara D. Angelica granting permission and saying "Robert Ettinger's The Prospect of Immortality had a big impact on me years ago."

Another record set for this issue, is the number of foreign countries it goes to.

The last time we counted it was 17. This issue goes to 20 plus one to a FPO address. (Fleet Post Office)

And in Ben Best's report of Toronto's first cryonics case, he describes in his own unique way, all the details, major and minor that go into a successful suspension. This was CI's 43`d suspension, which was quickly followed by it's 44".

And thanks to Russell Cheney for supplying us with Carmella Roos's description of her upcoming cryonics project.
