CRYONICS INSTITUTE (CI) OPEN HOUSE
Sunday, June 24, 2007 3 PM to 6 PM
24355 Sorrentino Court
Clinton Township, Michigan 48035-3239
The Cryonics Institute Open House is entirely devoted introducing friends, family, acquaintances and other interested persons to the concepts and facilities of cryonics. Cryonics Institute Members are encouraged to bring anyone in their lives who could have a personal interest in cryonics or another reason to learn more about cryonics, such as being close to a Cryonics Institute Member and wanting to learn more about the motives and fate of that Member.
Unlike the Annual General Meeting, typically held in late September, the Open House is not a business meeting and is more focused on being a guest event. CI Members are invited to bring guests and others are invited to be a guest and/or to bring a guest. Robert Ettinger, the founder of cryonics and of the Cryonics Institute, will be attending, so those wishing to meet him will be able to do so.

Lecture: Cryonics and Rejuvenation -- Cryonics as a Life Extension Strategy
by
Cryonics Institute President Ben Best
The lecture will give an overview of the goals, methods and feasibility of cryonics -- as an introduction to the subject. The lecture will also provide an overview of cryonics organizations and cryonics technology in the world today, including probable developments in the near future -- information which should be interesting and informative for most Cryonics Institute Members. The question and discussion period may include issues of ethics and motivation as well as suggestions.
For driving directions, use MapQuest or send e-mail to the CI Facility or phone 1-586-791-5961. The Open House is open to the general public, but we request that we be informed ahead of time if you wish to attend (by the above e-mail address, phone number or mailing address). We need to be able to plan for the amount of food we will need for the buffet dinner and for the amount of seating required.
