MEET CAM CHRISTIE

Hi, my name is Cam Christie.   I originate from Wellington, New Zealand. Where I have spent most of my life. My schooling was there  with a  tertiary education at Wellington's University, majoring in Sciences, and with one paper in Cell biology. . So I spent most of my life here apart from when the family moved to Hong Kong, when I was 15 for work purposes. Then I returned to New Zealand after a year, having attended Island School in Hong Kong & having worked at Dunlop (HK Ltd). A brief bit of overseas experience, however  some of my family still reside there and over the years I have based myself there for work & overseas travel experience. Although my father retired as a Judge, back to Wellington recently.

I enjoyed a fairly reasonable life when growing up with limited health problems, however that changed when I developed my first debilitating illness when I was 25. As I have said I was aware of the theory of cryonics, but until that illness, I had done little about it. I wrote away to several organizations in USA, having got some addresses at the USA Embassy in Wellington.

It was similar to a religious revelation, when I first read Alcor’s text book on the subject. From that afternoon onwards my whole purpose in life became focused. At the time, I was filling in for family in a motel in Otaki one hour north of Wellington, where I later continued to work for ten years.

Over the years , I spent some of my free afternoon time at the motels starting various internet & other home based business ventures. Some were located in Hong Kong, using some of my experience up there as a business immigration consultant. I ran these by remote control from my office in Otaki, NZ. These days I am still moderately active in business. My brother & I are planning a reorganized venture, in the coming months. I provide my business sites for reference:

More recently I’ve been working as a Eftpos, Bank debit card technician, which has promising development prospects. Some of my interests include non fiction reading, independent films, semi vegetarianism, charities focused on the developing world, walking & I've been dabbling in freelance journalism in recent times. Cam is an Associate member of The Immortalist Society.
