MEET PAUL BATTISTA

My name is Paul Battista. I have been a member of the Cryonics Institute for eight years now. I first heard of cryonics as a kid but dismissed it. It wasn't until I was in my 20's did I reconsider cryonics.

My family and most of my friends don't agree with me but a few do. I hope they will change their minds as time goes by. I currently live near Chicago, IL. I would like to meet other cryonicists living in the midwest. If anyone would like to get together please let me know.

Anyway, I currently work as a housekeeper for St. Margaret Hospital located in Dyer,IN. Since I've been signed up I've told a lot of people about my intentions to be frozen. I've gotten mixed responses. I should also mention that I'm a member of the Life Extension Foundation as well.

I'm a big fan of Ray Kurzweil and Aubrey de Gray. I'll be 35 in July and I hope that science can cure aging in my lifetime. I haven’t attended the annual meeting at CI but I'm hoping to attend soon. Cryonics is currently a small science but it is getting bigger everyday, that gives me hope that cryonics will work someday, and the sooner the better. Anyway, that is my story.

I look forward to meeting some fellow cryonicists real soon. If anyone wishes to get in touch my email is: pbatt72[AT]hotmail.com
