CAPTION CONTEST Anyone who's seen a NEW YORKER magazine in the last few years is probably familiar with their CAPTION CONTEST. The rules are simple: Every week they publish a cartoon without a caption. Readers are invited to submit captions. The winner receives an autographed print of the cartoon. In our case, the judges will be the long life staff, and the artists for the two cartoons we have on hand are Bob Nelson and his friend, Jim Whiting. The first cartoon, and the winning caption are below. The winner is Fred Ringel, of Jacksonville, Florida Congratulations Fred! We'll contact Bob about getting you your print.
